Arghh. Messing around with my nook color now I have an 8gb and 1gb card here that are now fuxored. I tried to use that HPUSBFW program (that I've used before) but now for some reason it won't start up, crashes on startup. Any help please?

I assume it stands for HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (HPUSBFW). As for the Nook there is always a risk when you're trying to mess with the OS that runs it if I think that you're trying to format it, can't help much with that.

You can try using this method to see if it restores the original size of your thumbdrive. Just follow from steps 1 to 4 would be enough. The main idea is to delete the 117MB partition and repartition it to the original 8GB size from the unallocated space.

oh you are so fuxored. See if you can fix it using the Win 7 Installation CD, try to repair an installation (I messed up my MBR once and was able to get it fixed by the Repair wizard). This is assuming of course, that your PC was the thing that got f******.

Microsoft lets you download a rescue disk of sort (I think), I saw it a while ago so have no link. There is a way to create a rescue disk from within windows if you have a spare machine. I just googled and found the usual places offering Rescue disk with emphasis on MBR's and such, don't wanna link if its illegal or some such. Sorry if I was unable to help.

Well I will look into that. I may have to admit defeat and take it to someone. I wonder what something like this cost to get fixed. The only thing it will let me do is get into the BIOS and run some hard drive utilities.
