I currently have an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro on my e8400 @ 3.6GHz. Unfortunately I broke one of the pushpins on the ACF7 Pro when I moved all the parts over to a Azza Helios 910, . I've had nothing but trouble with those evil pushpins in the past and would just like to get something that has a really solid base (preferably metal, but I suppose plastic is fine too if I have no choice).
Now for the second part of the problem. Due to the 230mm fan the Azza Helios 910 has on the side, the heatsink can be 150mm tall or less. This makes it a bit harder to find heatsinks as many of them are taller than this. I would prefer a 120mm fan so it's not as loud as the ACF7 Pro but like I said, I am willing to use anything smaller (at 100% fan speed).
I am using a GA-P35-DS3L motherboard with all RAM slots full, so the HSF can't block the RAM either.
Edit : Well after spending hours looking for heatsinks, I couldn't come up with much in the 120mm category so I was thinking of investing into this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185084 One of the reviews mentioned the same cooler I had so I take it they are compatible. It is $15 shipped, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it.
