Ok i need health insurance. i have a preexciting medical condition. I have a couple of hernated disk in my back. Now I have heard wonderful things about this new treatment called disk decomprestion. its supposed to work wonderfly for some people. The only problem is it cost 3-5k which i have no problem paying if i knew that it would work for me. But theres no way for me to know until I get it done. But if i have insurance then i dont have to pay for it except the monthly fee which i have no problem doing. So if anyone has any good ideas i would love to hear them.

I thought insurance wouldnt cover preexisting conditions. Or they wont for 6 months.

Pre existing conditions are exempt for a period of one year. As far as how much you'll have to pay, that depends on your insurance company and plan. If this isn't with a company, have fun. Insurance by yourself is EXPENSIVE

This is exactly why health insurance has that pre-existing condition clause. You want to sign up, pay a few hundred to get insurance for a few months during which you'll spend at least $3-5k of their money, and then dump them. The idea about insurance is that you don't just get it when you need it, you pay for it all the time and it's there when something goes wrong. You can't get auto insurance to cover you after the accident, why should a health insurance company pay for your health problems if you weren't willing to pay before you had a problem?

If you want to have the protection of health insurance pony up and pay for it. If you think that the treatment is worth a shot pay for it. Don't try and milk the insurance system because you aren't willing to spend your money but you're willing to spend the money of the people that pay into it responsibly.
