I think it is a socket 775 pentium 4 single core.

core 2 duo will be faster.

I rebuilt my old Dell desktop with a like processor... don't expect huge performance out of it, especially when multitasking.

It's a LGA775 hyperthreaded 90nm prescott with 1M cache. It's just as fast and no faster than the 3GHz socket 478 pentium 4's. The 1 in the model code means it has EM64T support. Basically, this is the chip that made AMD's hayday. This pentium product line was the pinnacle of intel's idiocy.
