I've just burned my GPU, can anyone recommend me something good for an E2180 and 2 gigs of RAM?

my last graphic card was a Radeon 2400Pro

Factors that affect any recommendation: screen resolution, games you play, budget.

I certainly wouldnt spend 150 bucks on a card for that res. even a $60 4670 would be more than plenty for 1024x768. that would be a massive upgrade over that 2400 for sure.

The HD4670 would be a good choice.

Even the slightly cheaper HD4650 or Geforce 9500GT will serve your needs well.

and will those memory bandwidth difference (64 bit on 2400 and 128 bit on 4670) makes it unable to run in my PC?

and i use a VGA cable, not the DVI ones (clearly, it's a primitive monitor)
Does the 4670 have any VGA port? Or at least a DVI to VGA converter?

A HD4670 will be totally awesome compared to a HD2400Pro. And they do have VGA ports - check before buying though - 99% of them do though.

Nothing else needed really. Your CPU will be fine for the card. And coming from a HD2400Pro will be quite a shock I bet :)

If you got enough money buy the 4670 and a new PSU. Reason is the HD4670's calls for least a 400 watt PSU.

If you ordered a PSU like the one in the link below. Which cost $29.99 AR of course.
You can easy afford the PSU and have enough money to get a HD4670. I'll post a link to the PSU in question. Plus I'll post the graphics card I'm using in my system.

My desktop is a 2.0GHz duel core also but its AMD. I use the same amount of ram also in my system.

Edit: I'm able to play GTA IV at 1280x1024 using high settings. So without no doubt you will be able to play your games you listed.

In my eyes getting by probably could not be a good thing. I pushed a few old 300w PSU's really hard in the past. They run hot enough I could keep a hamburger warm. lol

Since its within your budget to buy a HD4670 and a bigger PSU. It would give you little more head room. To add little more hardware later like USB devices or ect.

The 2600pro and HD 4670 have similar power consumption (within a few watts) so you should be as fine as you were.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'similar power consumption'. After searching the net for power consumption for the 2600Pro and HD4670. I found something that says the 2600Pro uses only 15.6watt at idle. While the HD4670 was using 132watt at idle.

If that power consumption is true that means. The HD4670 uses 116.4 more watts then a 2600Pro.

HD4670 has no power connector which means the max it could ever be is 75W (pci express connector power) so that 132W was a complete system power consumption.

Also its not idle that matters here is max if you are worried about the PSU.

Sounds like you may be comparing reviews that show total system consumption and the board only. Not a reasonable comparison of course.

Here are two reviews from xbitlabs which show the board consumption only. You will see the two are close with the 4670 better at idle, but higher at peak 3D. Still should have no problem with a 300W supply.

Hats off to everyone who were able to resist the urge to recommend a new computer based on his specs :)

And Meaker10, nice video card. I had those in every one of my rigs back in the days.

I would go for an HD4650 which is an underclocked HD4670 but for only a $10 difference, that might be nil.

*resist temptation for other computer component recommendations*

4650 isn't just an underclocked 4670, the 4670 is def worth $10 more

you are not even remotely close. the 4670 doesnt use external power so common sense would tell you that it doesnt use near 75 watts even under load. a 2600 uses about the same amount of power as a 4670. http://xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/powercolor-pcshd4670-512mb_5.html#sect0

OP you should be fine with a 300 watt psu because you have a basic setup and your cpu and is a very low power consuming part so a 4670 would be fine to add. with a 4670 your entire system will not even pull 150 watts under full load.
