:disgust:

Below is a copy of email sent to TC computers(tccomputers.com)
Can anyone suggest a decent and sensible online supplier of Asus motherboards and Intel CPUs?
Have had bad experiences recently although this takes the cake!
I really would appreciate some help here.
Thanks,
KF

>>SUBJECT:piss poor packaging!

>>I recently received an Asus P4S333 Motherboard and Pentium 1.6 combination which I ordered from you.
>>It was an Integration order which was shipped to my forwarders in Miami.
>>The packaging was infantile bordering on the moronic.
>>It consisted of a small cardboard box with one strip of air cushion over the CPU. There was no other cushioining material.
There was no 'Fragile' warning or any external indication of any kind as to the nature of the contents.
The package came squashed and I was so ticked off that I did not attempt to install the board over the past two weeks.
Now that I have the board on the case tray it can be seen that the board was bent by whatever squashed the box.
I have lost confidence in your company and wonder what kind of Corporate policies lead to and support rubbish of this kind.
I have not yet powered up the board as I need to cool down again having seen how little regard you have for my money which I entrusted to your care.
I shall go the Web and circulate this email along with pictures of what you shipped me and seek advice as to what more reputable company than yours I should do business with in future.

Agree. NewEgg and MWave are the better of the ones on the web. Other than that buy locally so that you have better/easier return options. I recently ordered 3 MB's and 3 different processors from NewEgg at three different times and all came well packaged except for the refurb board. It was in an antistatic bag and padded in the box, but the foam was missing from under the board. Tested the board and it was fine though. Everything was delivered quickly and w/resonable shipping rates.

Directron very good as well but may be just touch higher on some things than NewEgg or Multiwave. These three are probly the most reliable on the Web.

<< So how would you describe this? >>

I'd describe that as blatent abuse by the postal service (or UPS, can't tell by the label). If your item was insured, as it should have been, then your (or the suppliers') beef is with them. I have run across problems with the USPS and they have usually been cooperative. But, if they truely didn't pad the item with minimal effort then that too is moronic. :(

Obviously blatant abuse by U (nited) P (arcel) S (ervice).

The United States postal service would never dream of damaging a package
in that manner.

(We would have found a different way to damage it, most likely <g>)

Seriously though, that poorly packaged your lucky you didn't have to pour the
motherboard out of the box....

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but I probably average 4 or 5 packages a
week on my mailroute that have to be retaped / wrapped etc; due to a half
assed effort of the shipper. It makes us look like schmucks to deliver a crushed
package, but sometimes we're not really the ones at fault.

(of course , sometime's we are though, to be fair)

Well are TC computers gonna send you a new one.

I always, I mean always, order from Newegg,
unless if I buy something from Ebay.
They are also charging the s/h very reasonable.
