So far the g700 is great. I'll give more feedback once my hand stops feeling like I'm cheating on my g5 with a newer younger model.
 
just curious, did you try disabling pointer acceleration in the control panel?

as for a good mouse, I am in mad love with G9 myself 🙂 The shape is perfect for me, can't imagine improving anything on what they have now.
