I have a ton of mp3's, mostly techno-trance that I want to convert to wav and burn to cd. I need a program thats free, easy to use (i have absolutely no mixing experience) and is good.

Any suggestions?
:D

That was the first place I went to Yakko
I would like some input from people who actually use these programs.

Actually, as long as you have 10,000+ posts, you do get the lifer status. So, I guess anyone can get it. :)

Just wondering why do u convert mp3s to wav and then burn? Most burner programs do that for you....
Well anyways look for a program called CDEX, its freeware and great for encoding/decoding wav mp3 and much more..

Thanks chiwawa626, thats what Ive been using to convert from mp3/wave. It is a great program. Well, I did find a program called Cooledit Pro, which has a 4 track mixer plug-in that will basically mix an entire cd for you.
:D

Very nice, took me a good while to figure out some of the cool features...believe me its jam packed with them too.

Yeah cool edit pro is great, but if ur a real audio buff u mite as well go for protools....but with both of these programs neither mixes the music for you its time consuming to make a 4track mix since u do it all and cooledit just helps u....there really is no auto mix program (when speaking of beatmixing) but im sure u can use cooledit effectifly with some sort of fade in to the next song using the 4track mixer and the volumes curves....

Wow yakko wasnt kidding either...There's alot of stuff to wade through out there!
:D

Chiwawa626 I have compiled a multi track session, consisting of 13 songs that Ive mixed end to end...now do you have any idea how I would save this so that it is one long track ?

:D Viola! Found a great shareware prgram that does auto mixing, and can record into one continuous wave/mp3 file. Its called DJMix Pro.

Very simple to use.
