So, anyone have any recommendations ???

I don't want to make them myself, I prefer to order some up. Only having about 6 people over, so it's not going to anything huge.

But I like a meaty wing and I need to know what the best places are in the Northern Virginia area for some good wings.

Thanks.

Find a Cluck-U near you and order up a bucket or 2 of their wings. Damn things kick some major ass. They got a few different sauces to try, Honey Hickory is my favorite from them.

I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as good Buffalo wings in the Northern VA area.

Cluck-U does make good wings. Wings-To-Go is also a good choice. We no longer have Cluck-U in this area.

Hooters wings are good. :)

<< why'd you dig this thread up.. superbowl? thats like so... 2 weeks ago >>

I did a search on my recent posts, looking for a specific thread, and I felt the need to respond to the quote: "Hooters wings are good." I grew up not far from Buffalo, and I've visited the city many times. As a public service, I felt the need to point out the absurdity of that statement.

<< and BTW Domino's has good Buffalo wings, hehe >>

Good God, man, please take a trip outside of New York and taste real Buffalo wings. I'm not posisitive, but repeating that statement aloud within 100 miles of the city may be illegal. It will at least land you a serious beating ;)

Ohh you guys talking bout restaurant style buffalo wings??? Them REAL wings??? Those are pretty good 2, when I went down to New Orleans I had some real good wings, but like i said if your in need of some bootleg wings just call domino's, hehe. BTW i learned how to make buffalo wings while watching TV food network, I havent tried it though, ;)

So this makes you the expert? I've never been there, don't plan on going. So I'll just have to settle for Hooters (I'd rather go there than to Buffalo). But I could say the same about BBQ. "Come on down here and get some real BBQ".

Hey, don't diss Hooters! Their wings ROCK and you get to drink beer and stare at them jigglin' thingamabobs while you eat!

Friday's wings are pretty good too and you can get them frozen at the supermarket. Not nearly as fatty as many fast food places.

I tried Domino's hot wings and all I can say is that they are wing-shaped blobs of fat and gristle covered with hot sauce. Out of an order of them, I had maybe 1/2 wing's worth of actual meat. Yuck.
