need gift help for g/f's parents

i need gift help as i am going to my g/f's parents house for chinese new year. I have met them twice before, but they speak very limited english so I dont know them well enough to figure something out

i was thinking a nice bottle of wine, but she says they normally dont drink wine

lol i was thinking wine until you said that last line; thats what i'm giving my good friend's mum for letting me stay at this house for couple of weeks.

maybe a cool book? like a coffee table book- one of those hardcover things?
or...
something from the pottery barn

yeah i was supposed to get asian cookies, but my g/f went to china town without me and now i cant get them...i guess i could find nice american cookies or fruit...maybe

alright so far it seems fruit is what most peopel think
