Need Free Web Email with Forward that's *Anandtech Approved*

Even though I used yahoo as my email here for years, I was told to find a new one about 1.5 years back. The one's I find are full of pop-ups and other crap, or they're slow, or its difficult to delete bulk messages (from all the thread updates).

Can anyone recommend a good free email service, I'd prefer one that does forwarding, but if the web interface is very good and efficient to do what you want, I could do without forwarding.
