need free cd burner software

is there a free program that can be downloaded from the web for cd burning, like i have a burner but no software for it...help me!!

Almost every company that sells burning software supplies a demo with reduced features or fixed lifetime...

www.nero.com ---> full version costs: $49
www.goldenhawk.com ---> full version costs: $39 ($29 if you're student)

Just to mention two!!

But free, I doubt it.....

There are several free programs - for Linux.

If you are using Windows (other than XP which has basic support built-in) then you will have to buy some or use one of the demos the other people listed.

The demo version of Nero will expire but you can continually uninstall and install new versions as they expire (every 2 months).

...just wonderin' is Sony's CDExtreme any good? I'm looking at it, just for kicks and am especially wondering why they don't include it with their retail burners. The 24x I bought last had B's Gold.
