Anyone here feel that EA doesnt have any idea of where to focus the NFS games... every time a new NFS game comes out is a whole diferent from the previous one...

so far we have NFS about pursuit... others that baffle about simulation, or story line based, car customization based... or not much for customization but more for destroy cop cars...

I am thinking NFS is a focusless franchise... unlike GTA, or other big ones like The Sims, somewhat the C&C and such...

There's 2 lines of NFS games to be released every year. They switch off between arcade racing and more sim like every year. Since 2006, EA has had 2 dev teams working on the NFS Franchise, so that there's still 1 NFS per year but it now alternates between more serious and more arcade racing, which is where we got Prostreet (serious) in 2007, Undercover (arcade) in 2008 and now Shift (serious) in 2009 and in 2010, Criteron games (Burnout franchise) will be releasing the NFS arcade game.

Whatever the focus is, NFS Shift looks like the first good game in the franchise since Most Wanted. I hope people give it a chance rather than just dismissing it as another nfs game, especially
since its made by the makers of GTR rather than EA.
