Has anyone else given up on playing this game on PC because its so terribly optimized for PC gamers? I am currently asking origin for a refund because of how glitchy it is and will most likely be waiting for a cheap copy for PS3. What a joke this has been. Tried to play it on 2 seperate systems. One Nvidia one ATI used numerous drivers but still get crash to desktop at least once every 10 minutes. The sound is choppy and sounds like all the cars are about to throw a rod through the block. Shame on you EA for putting this piece of crap on PC.

Barfo: lol, good one.
Got them to refund me after an hour on the phone with them. I guess sitting on hold and trying to tell the guy that the game is a POS payed off. The run plays on the frostbite 2 engine, same a BF3. If I crashed the car it was game over for me the game would lock up. Im glad to come out ok on this deal.

Install the update/patch via Origin. That removes the 30 FPS cap. Then disable V Sync (V Sync again gets a 30 FPS cap).

I can play at 19x10 Ultra 8x MSAA Morphological AA with minimum FPS in 60s or so and average around 80-100 or so.

However, to play the latest NFS games anything less than the latest CPUs will result in stuttering and laginess, irrespective of FPS (personal experience with different quads and high end graphic cards as well). So you need a Sandy Bridge Quad.

I had tried playing NFS Shift 1 on a Q9550 overclocked and it sucked. Replaced with a Core i7 860 and it was butter.

My 2600k 4.3 + 7970 1175 1625 does fine at 25x14 MLAA SSAA 8x EQ AA Ultra with a minimum in mid/late 60s but usually minimum in 70s or more.

I ran the patch. I think the game was just glitchy. If I crashed into a wall the game would lockup. I havent tried it on the GTX 680 because I got it on PS3. Its not a bad game at all. Just not very long.

Stop buying crappy ports, and maybe EA will realize that they're doing something wrong.

I heard the campaign can be finished in 2 hours?
