I'm considering buying an Xbox One and one of the games I'm considering on getting is Need for Speed Rivals for the PC or Xbox One. Is the Xbox One version of Need for Speed Rivals look better than the PC version on high settings? Also how is the frame rate on the Xbox One version of the game?

No, the Xbox one Need for Speed Rivals game will not look better, nor will any other cross platform game.

PC version is locked to 30FPS, I don't know about the Xbox One version.

It's 30fps as well, which is why the PC version is also 30fps. It's a direct port. Apparently there's also a problem in the game engine that causes juddering due to it rendering frames in an uneven order to match the display's refresh rate. Eurogamer goes into depth on it.

EA is one of those publishers where I think gamers are better off getting the console version.

PC version is probably going to be better, only because you have the option of running the game at a higher resolution than consoles. Everything else is pretty much the same though. Even the framerate is capped at 30fps. :p

Load times would be better on my PC than the Xbox One for this game? I have an i7-4820k and a 512GB SSD.

Fixed that for you.

think about it.. if EA only had to make console games, Im sure in their minds the PC people would convert to console, hence the sale would still be there. WIN WIN for them. Less marketing, no port team, no interface changes (small as they are for console to PC ports). Hard media in a less pirated environment. Having a Digital platform that is not gaining hte traction they hoped against its competition (even less money in pockets if game is once again released on STEAM so sales can go up again). All good MONEY making reasons..

but I for one will be done gaming if the PC ever exits to MAc like levels of gaming. To old to get good with a controler, and feel like a 5 year old playing FPS that auto aim for me (but know my skill would be worse then a 5year olds without it on a controler).

X1 is using x64 arc so porting shouldn't be a huge deal this generation.
