Need for speed most wanted crashes

Sometimes it runs fine - sometimes it doesn't even start.
When I quit the game - sometimes it's fine, sometimes the screenstarts blinking and I have to push reset button

Any suggestions??

I have:
epox 9npa+ ultra
opteron 146 @2.8
evga 7900gt @ 570/1600(450/1320)

Try updating the game to version 1.3 and update your video card drivers.

I have 1.3 and latest drivers
