Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

Of course I played the crap out of this game in the 90's, but I read the other day that there's a new version..

Has anyone played it for PC yet? Comments? Is it a POS console port?

Yes, I commented heavily in my thread on Hot Pursuit. I think most of us have already exhausted our thoughts on the matter. It wasnt a big enough release or good enough game that it needed lots of discussion.

I think this is the first NFS arcade game I really like since Most Wanted.

The PC version was kind of borked with no rain effects (you can hear the rain, but not see it, pretty lame) and the lighting effects are actually better on consoles. Not sure if they've paatched it yet.
They were working on a patch, but I've completed the game 100%, and probably won't go back to it.
I still play through Burnout Paradise every 6 months, it's much more fun.
