Need For Speed: High Stakes

I recently remembered this game after trying out Hot Pursuit 2 and not liking it. Anyway, running XP w/ a GF2 GTS and I can't run hardware 3d. I recall something about this being a problem. Any way to get around it besides running software mode (which looks terrible naturally).

I ran it on my ATI Radeon 8500 without an issue I think. I had to run it once in software, then run the card chooser from the generated shortcut.

Same thing for a TNT2 if I remember correctly.
