anyone get version 1.4 of NFS: Carbon to run in 1680x1050?

I found a res changer on the wide screen gaming forum but it only works with versions 1.2 and 1.3
 
Bump - just upgraded my PC and want to test Carbon out as I didnt get enough looks and umph with the last PC.

Surely someone can find a widescreen hack for the latest patch. Pray EA get their heads screwed on the right way for their next installment.
