Just installed a Visiontek Ti200. OpenGL and Direct3D both stays at 60 Hz. Desktop is fine, just not working when starting games. Using newest drivers. Is this usual, and what 3rd party tweak do I need? Thanks.

For DirectX use DXDiag, no third party app needed.
For OpenGL I'm not sure as none of my games are OpenGL based so I never really cared.

Yes, this is normal behaviour for Windows 2000 and any other iteration of Windows based on the NT kernel.

For nVidia cards you need nVidia refresh rate fix. Basically what's happening is that most drivers aren't correctly telling Windows 2000/XP what refresh rates to use so the OS drops the monitor back to a safe 60 Hz. That programs tells Windows exactly what refresh rates to use (Direct3D and OpenGL).
