Need file recovery software

Just deleted some pictures by mistake. Which software is best to get it back(if possible) and how do I use it? Freeware would be nice if there is any.

I had good results with stellar phoenix, far from free though.

The free demo however will give you a good idea of whether your files are recoverable.
