Nothing wrong with that card. If I didn't alread have my 9800 Pro, I'd definitely get that one. And MSI is a very good company. They've been around for quite a while.

id say theyre about even. i would get the msi since the heatsink covers the core and mem, and that would come in handy if youre planning to overclock.

oh, and i think you misread the specs, both cards can do max rez at 85hz.

Maybe its an error but the msi states "2048x1536@65Hz"

ah ok i was reading the general description up top. i see where it says 65 now. check the product link on the left, tho. it says 85hz on the msi site. newegg has been know to mess up on the product description a few times here and there, but i forgive them.

I'd definitely go with the MSI. And according to MSI's website, the card has a max resolution of 2048x1536 @ 85Hz, so what Newegg put under detailed specifications is wrong, while the info at the top is correct.

And I wouldn't really worry about the differences in stock memory and core speeds. As I stated above, the MSI has a R360 core which will allow you to hit even higher memory and core speeds equal to a 9800XT card if not higher (with a better heat sink and fan).
