need fan suggestion

yate's are always good, also I have found zalmans zmf3 to be decently quite and move a fair amount of air. It might help if you listed how much air you want to move (case fan, fan for hsf...) and how much noise is an issue (check silentpcreview for some good info on keeping noise to a minimum).

We need to know what you're using it for(ie heatsink, radiator or case).

We need to know what it's replacing.

We need to know how thin you consider thin enough, 20mm, 25mm, 38mm, 72mm......

Then we can try and make a suggestion, without that info, I'm going to make crazy suggestions like the slipstream 500rpm or the delat GHB.

^ i agree with.

lol.. application above all us, then you factor the rest.

Who makes delats? he he

Well he did say quiet and slimm, so the Delta GHB is out, 😛. Maybe the Delta TFB1212GHE could do as its only 38mm thick, but its still a little far from quiet.

Seriously though, as the other two have posted, we need some more info on what your using this fan for and what you consider silent.

If your doing case cooling, I'd suggest the Scythe "Slipstream" 1200rpm or 1900rpm and use a fan controller or 7v mod them. But if your cooling your CPU or a radiator, you would benefit from a fan with more static pressure.

athenatech evo <---- Is this the case your putting them into?

What about the slipstream 1600? thats actually my model of choice.

And the slim only really rules out the GFB1212VHW in my book.

Scythe and Yate Loon both make 120x20mm fans; those are pretty thin and quiet, but the Scythe one only comes bundled with the Zipang afaik.
