I need a USB CD/DVD drive, mostly for software loads, including boot. Some occasional writing. I do not care much about speed. I want reliability.

I have been on the egg site, but it would be nice to have some feedback here.
 
Thank you. If you had to choose between the EX002 and EX003 which one would you get. I see the 2 is aluminum and the 3 plastic.

Have you ever booted with them ?
