Need Expose & Spaces in Windows XP

I just started work, have Windows XP on a really nice Dell notebook. I have been so spoiled with Expose and Spaces in Tiger and Leopard since I switched two years ago. Are there (quality) windows XP clones of these wonderful tools?

OS X and Linux/Compiz are unfortunately not options for me :|

Thanks!

Bob

ps I am asking in the Apple forum as you guys actually know what I am talking about in OS X.

what you're looking for is virtual desktops. Expose you won't find, but if you search virtual desktop on microsoft's site, they have a power toy for it.

Now, I have no idea how well it works, as I haven't had a chance to actually try it out, but it's there.

Kaido, does Topdesk have smooth animations? Flash 10 seems flaky on my mbp, so I don't know if TD is really choppy or if the video clips are playing poorly here.

Thanks,

Bob

Great, I'll check it out on my XP partition this weekend before requesting it at work.

Thanks, Kaido.

Taskbar is useless? 😕 How so? If you have too many open windows, make the taskbar two rows tall.

I have a 20" widescreen external monitor with the taskbar set at 2x normal height. Taskbar is still fully populated and truncates the end of the names of open documents (the part that distinguishes diagrams for work). Opening the laptop screen and extending the desktop makes a big difference. A tech tried to install something which is supposed to extend the taskbar across both monitors, but installation failed since I haven't asked for/received local admin privileges. Unfortunately the .msi file is gone after the tech returned control of the machine and I don't know the name of the program and the tech is in another state.

I checked the website at work and the videos were just as choppy there. I'll have to boot into XP sometime this weekend to check out the demo.

Funny that I didn't think to open the laptop & extend the desktop as I ran dual monitors for years before I got the mbp in 2006. I think I have only used dual monitors since then when working on my final project for school.
