I am finally going to upgrade from my 17 inch Viewsonic CRT to an LCD. Unfortunately, I can't decide if going widescreen is worth it for me. I don't watch movies on my PC, and as I understand it, very few games take advantage of wide screen right now. However, World of Warcraft DOES make use of Widescreen, and I play it a lot, so that's something to consider I suppose.
I've read enough to know that an S-IPS screen is the best you can get in image quality, and that the TN screens have fast refreshes and less than amazing picture quality. I just purchased a new Dell for my girlfriend, and she got one of the 1907 Ultrasharp LCD's and frankly it's gorgeous. No loss of picture quality from any viewing angle, and it's so much bigger than what i'm used to. I just noticed tonight though that Dell finally came out with a 22 inch widescreen, and from what I've read on here 22 inch is the way to go right now. I guess my question is, should I go with the 22 inch widescreen, or the 19 inch LCD? They are very comparable in price atm, so I'm a bit torn.

I would assume that the 22 inch is using a TN panel. Am I really going to notice a big difference between the two panel types? I'm using this almost 100% for gaming and web browsing, so graphics applications aren't a factor for me. I love her image quality but if a TN panel (assuming that's what the 22 inch is) is comparable in quality, I think I'll go ahead and get it.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
