Need expert help! sequential reads change for MS office

Hi,

I need a MS Office expert. As most people know microsoft word redirector issues sequential reads at 4kb, excel files are 8kb.

Basically with the above default setting it is killing most SMB shares. Any way to change this to a specific amount? Such as 16kb or 32kb?

I know you can change the ReadAhead size but that does not solve the problem, it does help though...
