ok, so the server absolutely went to crap. Hardware was the problem and Dell sent out a replacement motherboard that f'ed up my raid sets... now I'm on the third motherboard that seems to be fine. To make a long story short I've spent the last 30 hours fixing this stupid thing, and only have one thing left to fix, but can't figure out how.
The OS is 2000 SBS, and the only problem is with exchange. I finally fixed the corrupt database and can get the database to mount and run properly and all now, but it wont do so from a boot up... when I boot up the system I get errors in the application log (below) and the following 3 services do not start:
Microsoft Exchange System Attendant (This one is the problem since its a dependency of the other two)
Microsoft Exchange MTA Stacks
Microsoft Exchange Information Store
but, if I start them manually they run fine. I figure its a permission issue of some sort, I've run setup /domainprep, I've reinstalled exchange on top of itself (plus all service packs), and I've verified that the server has not lost its membership to the Exchange Domain servers group....
Anyone have another idea?
