A few friends are turning 30 and they're throwing a huge party to celebrate. There's a 90s theme, and the person with the best costume gets free Opening Day tickets for next year. Me wanty.

Any good ideas for 90s-themed costumes?

My kids are convinced that people in the 90's dressed up in gold bellbottom disco suits and all guys had huge afros and bushy mustaches.

They think the 90's and the 70's were the same time period.

I would say the more trademark hair style of the time would be splitting the hair down the middle

I'm blanking on thinking of any ideas for 90s characters. There are plenty famous people from the 90s of course, but I can't think of any that would translate well to costumes.
 
The grunge look never fails. I've used several times at 90's theme parties, as well as for everyday wear.
