I'm the network admin for a small (30 user) office and we're getting absolutely overloaded with spam. I've got GFImail essientials running on the email server. This filters out about 98% of the junk, about 1500 per day, but every user is still getting hammered with like 20-50 spam per day. I was wondering if any of you fellow IT people have some suggestions. I was looking into getting an email filtering appliance to sift through the spam before it hits the server. Then having the server further filter it. This will probably do the job. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Time Warner Road Runner Business Class. No prefilter that I know of. The version of GFImailessientials that I'm using doesn't have bayesian filtering. The newest one does and maybe I'll upgrade.

I'm using the new one at v9, it does a pretty good job, but you need a set of "ham" (good) and a set of "spam", ie over the weekend, for 1 user, it cap 70 spam and let through about 12 spam

A friend of mine at a VERY large business went thru the appliance evaluation process (among many other options)and decided on this for his 15+ sendmail servers:
