if you have an ATI card usr their DVD 4.1 player. If not, use WinDVD or PowerDVD. I use ATI DVD 4.1 with my AIW Radeon system and use PowerDVD on my voodoo5 system. All three are excellent programs. oh, btw, if your are wondering, AIT DVD 4.1 used the cinemaster engine. I guess cenemaster isn't all that bad as well. peace out.

depends.. do you have a DVD decoder card or a video card that has built-in DVD decoding? if so, use the program associated with it (the ATI prog SG mentioned, Creative's package, etc.) otherwise, i highly recommend PowerDVD. smooth app, never had a problem with it here.

if you're not sure if your video card supports DVD decoding, post what you've got here and we'll let you know. i tried accessing your rig but the link doesn't seem to work.

WinDVD has marginally better quality than PowerDVD, but many prefer PowerDVD because it's a negligable difference and PowerDVD has a better interface with more options. If you go with WinDVD, I highly recommend DVDGenie which is freeware. You don't want a hardware decoder unless you are outputting to tv, they will only make quality worse unless you're on an ancient system or plan to multitask while playing. btw... DVD's are not on CD. They are a while different format requiring a different type of laser/ format.

Does the ATi DVD player have SPDIF (Dolby Digital) out? I am a hardcore PowerDVD user, and am not familiar with the ATi Player.
