Looking for a good one preferrably 500.00 or lower. All suggestions are appreciated

Might check the Canon ZR20 or ZR25. Or a JVC in that price range (don't know their model #s). I've avoided Sony products for some time as they're just overpriced for their features and no more reliable than other brands.
