Anyone have a good site that show steps on how to O/C a Duron 600? I bought a Duron from Compuwiz1 unlocked and ready to go! Ive O/C Pentium-III's but never a Duron chip. Ill more then likey be using a K7T Pro2 board. I still need to order me a board. Ive been reading up and reading some reviews. Would I just enter the bios up on bootup and then what? Can I just go head and and set the Multiplier to what ever setting I want to try O/Cing it to? I know on the P3's you change the FSB for your O/Cing. But it looks like on the Durons its the oppsite? Whats the default voltage for a 600 off hand. Would I just leave it the default settings and gradually go up till it boots up and stays stable?

I hate to keep PMing Compuwiz1 with all these questions! :D

Thanks!

Anandtech has an excellent article on TBird oc'ing that you will find useful.

Basically, get up and running at default speed, then increase multiplier til you don't run stably. Back it off, then oc the FSB til unstable, then back it off.

KT133 chipsets seem to run stable to about 108-110 Mhz FSB, though results vary.

Right now I'm at 108 FSB 10.5x with a TBird 1000.

Good luck!

BuckMaster: Glad to see you got the Duron you were looking for. Here's a good site to check out: AMDZone.

Good luck with your overclocking!
