I was told some of the the motherboards coming out in a month or two will be much better for the duron than the ones available now. 4x agp and other things. What are the new features? Should I wait. My celeron at 450mhz is still fine but slows my voodoo 5 down. thanks!

All the Duron boards available now and in the near future use the VIA KT133 chipset. All have AGP 4x and similar features. The number of ISA slots, if any, varies, as does the number of USB ports. Feature wise, they are very similar. Maybe you are thinking of the DDR AMD760 chipset. Still no news on the actual release, don't hold your breath. SIS and Acer Labs are working on chipsets but no release date.

Some of the early KT133 mobos are fairly plain Jane boards similar to the "reference" board used in some of the earliest reports about the Tbird and Duron at their release in early June. I have seen no comparative reviews of KT133 mobos yet, although reviews of individual boards are around.

Does anyone have some experience with Soltek motherboards? I am thinking about buying their KT133 board. slotA.com gives it an excellent review...

Anyone know where you buy the Soltek 75KV reviewed on slota.com? Pricewatch doesn't have it listed. It looks like a good option.

Mmmhhh, well it's available in Denmark if that'll help... ;)
One of my friends just ordered it.
