Ok, our office has two Olympus SP-320 digital cameras. After about 15 pictures the batteries are almost dead. Anyone have any ideas why??? I'm really not to knowlegable about digital cameras.

Use NiMH rechargeable batteries w/ high mAh.

We have regular AA batteries in them right now. I was kinda thinking of sticking some lithium ones in but wasn't sure.

Well, regular AAs don't have enough charge in them to give you enough shots. Lithium are environmentally unfriendly and expensive. Rechargeable NiMH is what everybody uses for digicams using AAs. You don't even need to buy the most expensive rechargeable AAs. Look up batteryspace.com. They always have good deals on rechargeable batteries that are not too expensive. Thomasdistributing.com has the high end stuff that are very expensive.

Thanks bud, I'll give it a shot and see what I can find.

My old Olympus C-4000 had miserable battery life too. 4 AA's lasted about 20 pics without flash, 10-12 with. My new crappy HP camera uses 2 batteries and lasts about 60 pics without flash, 25 pics with flash. With generic alkalines.

Remember that flash does suck batteries no matter what.

Rechargeable NiMHs are supposed to last a lot longer in a digital camera. make sure to get high mAh ones if you do go that route.

Regular alkalines are worthless in digital cameras. Like everyone said, get NiMH rechargeables with a good MAh. like over 2000.

I honestly don't know what regular AA alkalines are used for nowadays.
