My friend's sister went on a Deleting Spree after uninstalling a bunch of software. There's a lot of stuff that's now gone that shouldn't be.
I've already had her shut the PC down to avoid overwriting the data. What's the de facto standard for freeware data recovery? There's got to be something on a Linux-Live CD or something; I don't want to pay $ except as a last resort.
