Does anyone have any advice,

I purchased a shuttle motherboard, but for this motherboard they don't provide an I/O shield for a standard ATX case. Can i get a custom I/O shield or even a blank i could modify myself?

Thanks for any help

I made one out of thin rigid paperboard once. Worked just fine, too - in fact it works so well that I've never bothered to put a real one in that machine, even though I have several sitting around now.

Thanks for the input guys. I have a dremmel that cuts aluminum fine, but do you have an idea about how to shape the perimeter of the shield so that it snaps into place?

it'll be far too difficult to mold but you can get it on with a glue gun and that way use can remove it whenever you want with acetone

You can probably buy an I/O shield for it. There are places that sell I/O shields and they may well have the exact configuration that you need.

Here's one.

Here's another. Go to the motherboard page and scroll down to the bottom of the listings. It's under the "IO shields" heading.

I've also heard that Directron carries them but I can't find them on their site.

I ran a PC (Older Athlon system) for months without a back I/O sheild. There must have been no "good" dust bunnies during that time, as my "heaven" was virtually empty...
