need credit help........

i just got my credit report and it shows i have a 4 year old debt to progressive car insurance that will be taken off my record in 2003.....that means this thing is 4 years old...i was 15 years old back then so there is no way i took this damn thing out, not to mention ive never owned a car. i also own 631 dollars to providian financial? then there's capital one,nextcard....basically i have like 6 things on my report. now what i want to know is how do i get all this crap of my credit report? ive never had a any type of credit card or anything like that. any help is greatly appreciated guys , thanks.

You sure you didn't get someone else's report?



AFAIK you need to send a letter to the reporting agency disputing the entries, & they have 30 days to verify it or remove it.

im pretty sure it's mine since it has my address.....but it does have 3 names on it.....im guessing the names they think i go by or something......two of the names are the same except one ads jr and another has no jr or middle initial.......and i suppose it's mine since i called experian and ordered it about a week ago and gave them my ss#

How can you be "pretty sure" they're not yours? Either they're yours or not. If it were me, I would first research Identity Theft and see if you're a victim. Next I would contact Progressive and Providian Financial with a copy of your credit report and ask them to provide copies of signed documents showing these accounts belong to you. Assuming they provide these documents and these are NOT yours then I would contact the three major credit bureaus Experian, EquiFax and TransUnion and file disputes with all of them in writing.
