Need CPU monitoring software freeware

Been out of overclocking game a little while. Just built a friend a i5 650 rig and I need some CPU temp monitoring software. I downloaded core temp which reports 77c idle temp and 80c to tjmax? Then I downloaded realtemp gt and it's reporting idle temps in mid 20c. I need some more free software to check it out so I'll know which is right.

you could try the Open Hardware Monitor as well. http://openhardwaremonitor.org/
It's still in Beta status, so if you find anything wrong, please let me know.

CPUID HWMonitor http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php if you haven't tested yet. Perhaps Speedfan or HWiNFO32 http://www.hwinfo.com/ as well.
