need cpu advice, have 1extra stick of 152mb pc2700

have 2 x512mb of pc2700 ram
one's in the xp1600 geforce ti4200 system

planning to build a second system (using the old system fo netsurfin/download/htpc)

by using one stick of the 512mb pc2700, what amd/intel cpu should i purchase to
get the most of this memory? (no overclocking)


or should i just take out both and buy some pc2100 for the old rig???

and use both sticks in a xp2500 w/a7n8x (or nf7-s) combo

or p4 2.6 (800fsb) w/ undecided $100ish mobo (i have yet to build an intel machine yet, this time
highly likely cos of lower noise/heat)

(anand cpu mention amd is supposed to lower prices this week)
