Okay, so I'm about to go and cook dinner and I'm going to make a red lentil bolognese (sp?). Here is the recipe:

Lentils
Onion
Garlic
Canned tomatoes
Tomato paste

So it works like any other bolognese dish, cook lentils first then simmer with all of the other ingredients. It's really nice (my mum sent me the recipe) but a little bland. How can I make it more interesting?

I have the following bits and pieces in my cupboard.
Ground chillis
Ground cumin
Coriander
Ground Paprika
Cumin seeds
Chicken stock powder

Any ideas? I honestly have no idea what to do with these things, most of them are unopened. I usually end up chucking a whole lot of chili powder into my meals, but if you guys know something more interesting, let me know!

..Tobasco!! I like mixing A1 Steak Sauce and Tobasco too. Try it.

Its all about personal taste. So its up to you. I personally would try the chicken stock and cummin.

It's bigger than a buttload, but not quite as much as a sh!tload.
