Need clarification on TV out

This question is for a friend of mine (really, it's not me) who has a 14" monitor and is upgrading his video card. He has a Diamond Monster fusion on a K6-2 500/asus P5A platform. Found a Herc MX w/tv out for $112. Will the tv function the same as the monitor?
I know the picture will not be as good, but it will be bigger until he can afford a bigger monitor.

Yeah, it will work the same as the monitor BUT you will hardly be able to read text AT ALL...i find TV-Out ONLY good for DVDs/DivX

Yes, the text, you can't read in the default setting. Basically you have to blow all the font sizes you can find by 2x to read that stuff. Even then, some fonts seem to have fixed sizes ...
