I'm looking for a cheap PC system for internet browsing.
I have monitor and if need be I have a case, PSU, keyboard & mouse. I also have an OS.
It just has to be able to browse the internet and do it fast. That's the only caveat - page loading time should be limited by the internet connection.
So far I've been able to find a few refurbished systems online in the in $100-150 range (compaq or hp). I'm wondering if I could get something cheaper.
I've never had experience with refurbished systems so I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
Here's the minimum I need:
Motherboard (intergrated audio/video is fine)
RAM (1GB should be sufficient - I will be using XP)
HDD (smallest possible, 20GB should be enough)
CPU (again something that's good enough to load pages FAST, I would think a Celeron would be ok)
Anyone have any suggestions? Should I go new or is used/refurbished ok?
Or should I just buy the parts separately and put it together?
