need cheap router with QoS help!

As stated, we have 1 router with about 8 computers on it and sometimes my brother downloads torrents... even when limiting the upload speed to 30k/s it slows EVERYONE down to a crawl...

I saw threads for the buffalo router but they aren't even in stock anymore. Any other recommendations? I don't mind used!

A Linksys WRT-54GL can do the same dd-wrt + wondershaper QoS that a Buffalo could before they were banned. Make sure it is a WRT-54G*L*, not just a standard WRT-54G.

There are two approaches to the issue.

1. Get a Router that can be Flashed with DD_WRT.

After Flashing the Router would do QOS. The cheapest Router that can be Flashed if the AirLink 101 - AR430W

I did not use the AirLink but DD_WRT have it on their list.

2. A good Router that does QOS out of the Box.

Not to thread hijack, but yeah, major bummer about Buffalo. Good quality equipment, now totally unavailable on these (US) shores.
