I need a good set of PC speakers. They should be around 50 bucks and sound decent. No subwoofer is needed (I don't have room). Any suggestions?

maybe a good pair or headphones would be better? maybe you should take a look at those $35 koss ones that everyone is raving about. i hear they're well worth more than what you pay for and can rival $80 headphones. =)

thanks for the suggestion but I will be playing mp3's while doing other stuff around the house so I need some speakers. Here's the deal. I have a PC set up that has a nice 2.1 Monsoon speaker set. I will be building a new PC strictly for gaming that will sit right beside current PC. Both of these will run off of a KVM with 1 monitor. Both PC's need to have good sound b/c the old PC has all music/movies on it and the new PC will be used for games. Is there a way that both PC's can run on the Monsoons?

I had a similar situation. I ran a cable from the output on my second system to the line in on my main system. Then, go in volume control on the main system and make sure "line in" isn't muted. That should work for you!

That sounds like a good idea. Are you going to be gaming and listening to music at the same time though?

I was going to suggest just mapping a drive to your movie/music PC from your gaming PC so that you could get access to the files that way...
