Need cell phone info & recommendation

I need some recommendations from all you folks out there that sell and/or know a lot about mobile phones.

My motorola v180 is on the fritz, mic is going bad (not my fault) & exterior screen dead (my fault). I am looking to replace it with something that won't die in 6 months. I am looking for the most stripped down, non-feature-full phone ever. This is for business use only, and it will be used as a cell phone 99% of the time, not as anything else.

Key Features Required:
Won't die. Ever.
Good call clarity
Good battery life (3-4 hours of talk time per day)
Smallish form factor (bar or clam)

Key Features to NOT HAVE:
Camera
Whizbang anything (mp3, FM radio, any other crap)
Anything extra that could fail
Color Screen optional

I currently use T-Mobile, so any unlocked GSM phone will do.

Thanks!

any nokia phone would fit. i use v600...the battery life not optimal, but i dropped it like 10x on concrete floor and it still work like a champ

Don't get Motorola. They fail too much for serious business use.

I currently like Sony Ericssons. They are nice an small, and my T226 gets like 2 weeks of standby, and charges in 45 minutes.

I have been using a v300 for about a year and a half now. It has taken a beating, my wife ran over it in her car once. Everything works just as well as the first day, although it does have some scratches now.

But it does have a camera though...........

plenty of large companies use motorola phones for "serious business use". i've never had a problem with mine.

I'm keeping my options open, and don't really have a phone preference. That being said, the Nokia 6590i looks promising & sturdy - any experiences with that handset?
