Any card for vista aero, needs to be x16 and cheap :) I dont know how aero will perform on a lower card so..... please help?

Would a HD2400 pro be fine? does it have a HD chip for video decoding?
does the 8400GS have one also?

I threw an 8400GS into my Opty 165 rig for the wife and I've been really impressed with it as a basic Aero/very light gaming card. It's at least 2 or 3 times faster than a Geforce 6200 in raw specs.

I don't think the 8400's have the decoder. I'm not 100% sure though. Tread carefully.
I believe the 8500's and 8600's do however.

EDIT: Oops, I guess the 8400 does have it. Here is a review of a particular brand.
It's Fudzilla, but you get the picture. This one is also HDMI capable with audio throughput.

Frankly, I've had Aero running fine at 14*9 on an integrated 6150... You don't need much.

If my Radeon Xpress X200 chipset on my Compaq laptop is sufficient (it is...), just almost any DX9/DX10 video chipset will...
