Need Capture Program !!! - To capture pics from an mp2 video !

I have a Radeon 64 ddr, and I used the Video In to record some stuff from a buddies cam. Now I need to pull pics off the video, the ATI File Player program won't work ! I have tried everything but it wont save anything, and I tried Print Screen but it wont work right either !! Damn, anyone know of a prog. that will play .mp2 files and capture stills from it ??? Please help !! It would rule !
 
If it's an mpeg-1 video, you can use virtual dub to turn it into an AVI, and pull screen shots that way (sorry, I'm unaware of an easier way....if print-screen isn't working).

As for a program that will play .mpg, media player will do that....
 
Yea this is pissing me off, He taped me hitting this 60 ft jump on my dirt bike, im about 20 ft high in the air and it looks really great but I can't take the damn stills !! It's weird as hell, I have the multimedia center installed and all but the Still capture feature won't actually save any files...

I'm d/l that prog now, hope it helps !
 
Because it's mpeg 2. That's the same thing as DVD.

That's one of the things I dislike about the ATI player. Fortunetly, I'm using win2k, and the beta software for win2k for the ATI TV-wonder VE (I think it's the same for the Radeon VIVO) allows me to record in nearly any codec that I have😀

This means that I can do it in DIVX, mpeg4, mpeg, indeo, and a zillion others....

If you can go to settings and DON'T do mpeg2, do an AVI....yes, the AVI will be huge, but it'll allow you to capture it correctly (I thought you were capturing in mpeg-1, as that's what your 1st post implied).
 
Uh, He left w/ his camera, am I screwed until he comes back w/ it ? Can I get the new ATI MM Center from ati's site ? I also have Win2k
 
this is why i hate ATi - crappiest software\driver support. tahts why i ditched my tvwonder.


anyways, ATI mm didnt work for me because i had an nvidia card, stupid. so unless that works, you can find a converter or wait for your friend
