Hey guys,
I recently got a Casio keyboard and would like to connect the MIDI output to my spare computer which is in turn connected to my stereo system. The goal is to get playback through my stereo speakers as well as manipulate the keyboard output with computer software. I have a few questions:
What soundcard would be a good "middle of the road" card for this? Will it need MIDI daughter cards to reproduce the sounds faithfully?
What software is good for manipulating audio and displaying it on a staff? I see that the TB Santa Cruz comes bundled with a lot of entry level software for this. Would this be a good start?
Thanks in advance!
