Building a new rig but would like to use my current p/s, memory, h/d?s and sound card from old system. Don?t need LAN support but O/C abilities are important. I was considering the Epox 9NPA+ SLi Socket 939 for the m/b. I want a cheap AMD chip that will get me in the 939 door. Maybe an Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 512. Also looking for an entry level vid card. It doesn?t have to be an Sli card as eventually I may step up to a 7800. Considering an eVGA 128-P2-N368-TX Geforce 6600GT 128MB. Rig will be used for HL2, Call of Duty 2 & BF2.

Would these parts allow me to run at least at 1024x768 full AA enabled with 40-50FPS min? Budget is to keep it as close to $500 as possible because I also have to buy new OS (WinXP Home or Pro?). Yes?believe it or not I?m still running Win98SE on my old P4 1.8 Ti4400 rig. So whatta? think? Any suggestions?

Also, I can use my old p/s and memory right?

Lasthitlarry: Thanks for the feedback! Hmm....some of the feedback on the MSI m/b concerns me. The 6800GS is a possibility(budget-wise), but at this time the 7800GT is not.
